The Moore School of Business, University of South Carolina (USC), ranked in the Top 5 of 50
universities worldwide in terms of the total number of articles published between 1995 and 2004 in
four leading international business journals.
The rankings, which appear in the 2006 issue of the
International Business Review, are based on a
comprehensive study of IB research that was conducted by faculty members at Western Kentucky
University, the University of Missouri-St. Louis, and the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
USC faculty members published 35 articles over the ten-year period in four prestigious IB
journals:
Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of World
Business, International Business Review, and
Management International Review.
In terms of total number of appearances in the journals cited, Chinese University of Hong
Kong ranked first, followed by the University of Leeds, Copenhagen Business School, Michigan State
University, and the University of South Carolina. There were 24 U.S. institutions in the Top 50,
followed by nine institutions in the United Kingdom.
