Moore IMBA Program Highly Ranked by the Economist Intelligence Unit

The International MBA program at the Moore School of Business has been ranked 67th among the world’s top 100 MBA programs in the 2007 rankings of the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU).  The ranking appears online in the EIU’s "Which MBA": A Critical Guide to the World’s Best MBAs".

"Which MBA" provides background information on the world’s top 100 MBA programs. The Economist Intelligence Unit is the business information arm of The Economist Group, the company that publishes The Economist, the London-based weekly news magazine.

Data for the rankings were collected during Spring 2006 using two Web-based questionnaires, one for business schools and one for students and recent graduates.  Schools distributed the Web address of the latter questionnaire to their own students and alumni.

According to the "Which MBA" Web site, student and alumni ratings of the MBA programs make up 20 percent of the total ranking, while 80 percent of the ranking is based on data provided by the schools.

The criteria used for the rankings included new career opportunities for the schools’ graduates, faculty and student quality, student diversity, the educational experience provided, how much salaries increased after graduating, and the "potential to network" provided by the schools.  This included the categories of "internationalism of alumni," "breadth of alumni network,” and "alumni effectiveness."

The EIU provides company executives worldwide with country analysis, industry trends, and the latest management strategies and best practices.
