Net Impact

NetImpact_logoToday's business leaders are in a unique position to influence what happens in society for years to come.  With this power comes monumental responsibility.  If we choose to ignore this responsibility, we compromise our ability to do business in the long run, and exacerbate problems such as economic inequality, environmental degradation, and social injustice.  The alternative is for us to realize our potential as leaders to create lasting social change.  Net Impact exists for this purpose-- to harness the power of business to create a better world .

The Moore School chapter of Net Impact was formed in 2002.  As members of a national organization 10,000 strong, we have access to networks, job postings and news on the latest developments in socially responsible business.  The annual conference is a chance to share ideas and meet like-minded MBAs from around the world.  Locally, we sponsor roundtables to share experiences and developments, and luncheons with speakers to learn about various issues.  Topics include social responsibility, environment, economic development, quality of life issues, social entrepreneurship, and social investing.  We also do service projects to increase awareness of socially responsible business practices or work with local community organizations.
