Project Manager,

Brief job history: I have worked in a variety of sales and marketing development roles in the US, Australia and Europe for globally leading companies including Carlsberg Breweries, 3M, Red Bull, and News Corp. My specialties include developing growth strategies, customer segmentation, channel management, promotional effectiveness and marketing resource management. Currently, I am an international project manager with a focus on optimization and growth projects. Since joining Carlsberg, I have managed projects in Denmark, UK, Italy and HQ (group wide).
Why I chose IMBA: When I decided to take a master’s degree upon returning to the US after living overseas for a couple of years, I wanted to find a program that would enhance my international career potential. I chose the IMBA program at Moore after doing a careful investigation of all the top international business programs. The main things that attracted me to the program was the long overseas internship, which was a required part of the program, and the value for money that the IMBA program offers versus the competition.
Where I interned: 3M Europe – Brussels, Belgium.
What impacted me the most during the IMBA Program: The thing that impacted me most during the IMBA program was the fantastic people that I met. It was really an incredible experience being around such a passionate and globally minded set of people. Unlike the ultra competitive environment at some b-schools, I found the Moore students extremely friendly and always willing to support one another. One example of this happened quite early in the program when an Indian student sent an informal invitation out to the class to see if anyone was interested in joining him for a Diwali (festival of light) celebration. The response was so strong – nearly 100% of the class came--that we had to reserve the entire restaurant for our feast! This wonderful evening was followed by many similar celebrations over the next two years.
How IMBA has added value to my career: Aside from the obvious earning potential that a MBA adds, I feel that the IMBA program had a strong core curriculum with a good mix of theory and practical work which has been very valuable. In addition, the global perspective of the program has prepared me well for adapting to the international work environment that I am now in.
