Academic Program Manager/Chief of Staff (CoS) will report directly to the Dean of the Moore School of Business and will serve as the primary liaison between the Dean and internal and external constituents of the Moore School in ensuring that the School’s mission is achieved and that our stakeholders are consistently and appropriately engaged and supported for the effectiveness of the entire institution.  The CoS will be responsible for monitoring and directing the implementation of the Dean’s objectives by effectively coordinating the activities of relevant Moore School managers, supervisors, department heads, USC colleagues and external constituents.  The CoS will exhibit a highly professional demeanor, can be trusted to act diligently, will engage confidentially on sensitive matters relevant to the School, and can be called upon to serve the School and its stakeholders in a variety of settings.

Minimum Qualifications:  Bachelor's degree preferred, but significant relevant professional experience will be considered a suitable substitute.  High level administrative experience in the University of South Carolina system or a similar state-supported institution of higher education in the state or beyond.  Familiarity with, and effectiveness in navigation of/compliance with all relevant USC policies and procedures.  Demonstrated organizational expertise consistent with the effective management of a director’s, dean’s or president’s office and related personnel.  Budgetary understanding and interaction with the ability to direct financial resources in the capacity of a non-financial manager.

Preferred Qualifications: Significant professional experience in the South Carolina business or policy community.
