The University of South CIBER supports several Moore School of
Business Study Abroad Programs for students, primarily through financial support to faculty and
staff to assist with curriculum and program development, program management, and domestic and
international travel costs.
Study Abroad Programs:

Undergraduate Study Abroad: Doing Business in Europe (IBUS 443)
An annual international business course offered by Professor
Tatiana Kostova, Sonoco International Business
Department and CIBER Research Director, that includes travel to Istanbul, Vienna and Prague.
The course is a combination of a short distance learning module and an 11-day trip to several
European cities where students experience first-hand the business climate in the European
region through lectures, cases, meetings with executives and company visits.

Undergraduate Study Abroad: Doing Business in Africa (IBUS 444)
Experience the business climate in Africa through a course and 10-12 day trip
to sub-Saharan Africa taught by Professor
Robert Rolfe, Sonoco International Business Department
CIBER Academic Program Director. See firsthand how globalization is affecting Africa by
visiting numerous companies and cultural sites in South Africa, Mozambique, and
Swaziland. This is a unique opportunity to learn about business conditions in one of the least
understood areas of the world.
